An early 1940s suede leather jacket with slightly puffed sleeves, three pockets on the front (one bust and two at the waist), a collar, cuffed sleeves, and gathering on the shoulders. The exterior is a burgundy suede leather, and the jacket is lined. The jacket fastens with buttons down the front and double-buttons on the cuffs. The jacket has the owner's name stitched into the lining. I googled the name, and the first result that popped up was for a woman who was born in Sacramento in 1925. Since I found the jacket in Sacramento, I'm guessing she was likely the original owner.

Condition: Very good to good. Leather has signs/marks of wear, commensurate with age and nature of jacket--most notable are a couple on the front and some rippling to leather at back waist (see close-up photos). Slight fading to upper shoulders and hand-stitched repairs to lining, not visible from exterior. Jacket is sturdy, and the only place where the leather is worn through is at the very edge of the sleeve cuff (see last photo).
