The spring 1991 collection was lighter and more colorful then the typical black-centric collection from Azzedine. It was a lighter more girl-next-door version of the renowned and often overt sexuality that runs through every collection. This charming little sweater top is made of a sleek knit in a light pink with little pale yellow dots worked into and throughout the fabric. It sits slightly cropped once on and has little capped sleeves. While not absolutely perfect, it is still a great example of his earlier work and has lots of life left in it. It is a great piece that will add an instant pop of color and that "supermodel" feel. Presents as great condition with notes below to review
This particular type of knit that Azzadine used during this time period ages in a way that leave bits of a shine and faint "lines" through the knit - I have never seen a piece that was actually worn once or twice to not have this happen. On this particular top there is also the very faintest of a darkening near the upper shoulder - if you super-size the label shot you can see it just barely in the picture. It is priced significantly lower then norm and is still completely wearable in my opinion. The fabric has some stretch. Tagged a vintage Alaia XS
